The origin, the age and the history of the coat of arms is unknown, but no matter where in the world I have come into contact with persons carrying the family name, have they known the coat of arms and have had prints of it, first and foremost of the type displayed on the front page.

Only one place have I come across the more simple type, which is also displayed below.

A seal is also known within the family, which shows the armoured arm holding the laurel wreath.

The coat of arms is described in:
FRIEDBERGER GESCHICHTSBLÄTTER, Band IX (1930) - side 26
Druck und Verlag von Carl Bindernagel
The description is reproduced in the Family Tree under Johann Friedrich Fischer Edler von Ehrenbach.

In the above publication is also mentioned two civil coat of arms belonging to Conradtus Facius (1629) and Antonius Facius (1753). Apart from the description of these, a drawing of the first mentioned is also shown.
The description is reproduced in the Family Tree under Antonius Facius.
